This is the only place to purchase groceries, ice cream and liquor.

The Bay House
This little gem is located on the beach at Tauranga Bay, half an hour north of Punakauki. You can watch the surfers all day long, they have an exquisite menu and wine list, fantastic coffee and friendly service.  We thoroughly recommend the trip worthwhile for a bit of decadence, and down the opposite end of the beach is a seal colony worth checking out.
